The government has made it known that on the 7th of April 2020, the number of new Covid-19 cases stood at 170, compared with that at 131 on the 6th of April.
This means that there was an increment of 39 new cases in a span of only one day. We should be very alarmed at the seriousness of the situation.
What might be the reason behind this increment, despite of the Government’s untiring effort at curbing the spread of this virus?
In our opinion, it is due to the many people in this country who have not paid heed to the directives of the Government on the ways that they should behave in their daily affairs, though they have turned to Allah SWT for help.
It is our aim to convince the people that the Government, together with medical specialists, scientists, religious and legal authorities, from within and outside our country, have toiled incessantly in their effort to defeat the present Covid-19 pandemic that has wreaked havoc to the world at large.
The team of people whom we have mentioned above are made up of people on whom Allah SWT Has bestowed with knowledge in fields that are relevant in dealing with the present catastrophic.
They have emerged with ways of combating Covid-19, that include MCO (Movement Control Order, SD (Social Distancing), wearing of face mask and frequent hand-washing. This regimes have been more than adequately transmitted to the masses.
We like to remind ourselves that Allah SWT Have Promised to Raise the ranks (standing, status of those who possess knowledge, as in Surah Al-Ankabut: 43 (…but only those understand them, Who have knowledge); Al-Mujadillah: 11 ( …Allah will raise up to ranks those of you who believe and who have been granted knowledge….).
There is also a Hadith Sahih that stated “Allah do not bring down a disease, without providing a cure for it too. Those with knowledge shall know of it, but those without would not know of it”.
With the above facts from the Al-Quran and Al-Hadith that we have mentioned, do we still wish to ignore the advice of the expertise in combating our most fearful Covid-19?
It is without doubt that we are asked to pray and request for God’s help. But we are first required to put in our thoughts, energy and deed to solve our own problems.
This article aims at convincing the people to have faith and trust in the advice given by the government in combating Covid-19 which have stemmed from the thoughts and experience of those with knowledge. Hopefully, for our sake, everyone would abide with the advice.
Only by abiding with the government’s advice that we shall come out victorious. Of course it goes without saying that all happenings are with the blessing of Allah SWT.
